August 2014 – Present Acorn English School, Hsinchu City, Taiwan

Position: English Second Language Teacher

Duties: As a teacher at Acorn English school, my duties have included preparing lessons and
teaching English as a second language to elementary and junior high school children
from a starter level to a more advanced level of junior high school students. Other
duties have included giving new students level tests to ascertain their English level
and assign them to the correct class, giving make-up classes to students who have
missed classes and giving extra help to students who are struggling with grammar or
phonics. I have also trained new teachers at the school and assisted junior teachers
with their lesson plans.

September 2008 – July 2014 American Eagle Institute, Hsinchu City, Taiwan
Position: English Second Language Teacher
Duties: As a teacher in the Immersion Programme at the American Eagle Institute, I have
been teaching English as a second language to elementary and junior high
school children. Subjects include reading, writing, spelling, phonics, grammar
and creative writing. I have taught classes ranging from grade one to grade six
(English level), as well as a higher level “Reading and Writing” course that
focuses on reading comprehension and writing composition and an intensive
English Grammar Course. My duties have also included helping to organise a
yearly Christmas Pageant and conducting placement tests for new students.

Responsibilities: Facilitating tutorial and practical sessions for undergraduate
