Are TESOL, TEFL, CELTA and other certificates recognized by the Taiwan’s government?

The Taiwan government requires all public schools and registered private schools to employ teachers with a state teaching license (US), QTS (UK), SACE (South Africa), any government registered certificate, or at least substitute teaching certification. Per the regulation amendment since August, 2022, candidates without a teachinng license can also apply but they must meet the eligibility as followings: hold a bachelor’s degree in English or Education (or related fields) or bachelor's degree holder who have obtained a TESOL/TEFL/CELTA certificate from an accredited University/College. If you apply without a government-issued teaching license, you must have taught English at accredited schools overseas or taught as a Foreign English Teaching Assistant at Public/accredited private schools in Taiwan for more than one year
