    Prepare Your Application

When you are ready to apply, please send over your resume to our HR staff at apply@teachtaiwan.com.tw or apply directly on our website. If you’re an overachiever, you can create and send us a teaching demo. Just record one, upload the video, and attach the link to your application.

    Schedule an Online Interview

The next stage is the interview. After we have had a chance to look through your resume (3-5 days after sending), we will send you an invitation email. First, please complete the “Foreign Teacher Application” form and fill out your basic information. Second, pick a time slot and platform (Zoom, Google Meet, Skype) you would like to have your interview on. Third, upload the required documents. Following the interview, our recruiter will talk with you about the job opening(s). Feel free to ask them any questions you may have.

    Getting the Job

Hopefully in a few days, you will get a list of teaching positions available to you. Once you have decided which job you want, a contract will be sent to you via email. Read the contract thoroughly then print and sign the contract using a pen. You will then need to scan or take a picture of the signed contract and send it back to your recruiter.

    Receiving Your Work Permit

A work permit is required to start teaching. TeachTaiwan will handle all the paperwork. All you need to do is send copies of the following: a photo of yourself, your university degree, teaching license, passport and criminal background check, all of which will be sent to your school, notarized, and then submitted to Taiwan’s Ministry of Education. This process takes around 10 to 14 days to complete.

  • 05

    Discuss Housing Options

Your Teach Taiwan coordinator will contact you about housing options, and together you will discuss your budget, preferences, and needs. All potential locations will be within walking distance to your school.

  • 06

    Booking Your Airplane Ticket

Next you will want to book your flight. This part is the teacher's responsibility so please remember to book correctly. Your flight ticket will be reimbursed according to your contract so remember to save your itinerary, receipt, and boarding pass to give to your school for reimbursement.
