We have our application and hiring process listed out for you so you don't have to worry about missing any part of it.

    Prepare Your Application

You will need 3 things: your resume, a teaching license (or sub-teaching license), and a criminal background check within the past 6 months. If you’re an overachiever, you can create and send us a teaching demo. Just record one, upload the video, and attach the link to your application.

    Schedule a Skype Interview

The next stage is the interview. After we have had a chance to look through your resume (3-5 days after sending), we will send you an email to schedule a Skype interview with one of our recruiters. Following the interview, our recruiter will talk with you about the job opening(s). Feel free to ask them any questions you may have.

    Getting the Job

Hopefully in a few days, you will get a list of teaching positions available to you. Once you have decided which job you want, a contract will be sent to you via email. Read the contract thoroughly then print and sign the contract using a pen. You will then need to scan or take a picture of the signed contract and send it back to your recruiter.

    Receiving Your Work Permit

A work permit is required to start teaching. TeachTaiwan will handle all the paperwork. All you need to do is send copies of the following: a photo of yourself, your university degree, teaching license, and passport, all of which will be sent to your school, notarized, and then submitted to Taiwan’s Department of Labor. This process takes around 10 to 14 days to complete and is paid for by your school.

  • 05

    Discuss Housing Options

Your Teach Taiwan coordinator will contact you about housing options, and together you will discuss your budget, preferences, and needs. All potential locations will be within walking distance to your school.

  • 06

    Booking Your Airplane Ticket

Next you will want to book your flight. This part is the teacher's responsibility so please remember to book correctly. Your flight ticket will be reimbursed according to your contract so remember to save your itinerary, receipt, and boarding pass to give to your school for reimbursement.

    Welcome to Taiwan

After you have your work permit completed, air ticket booked, and home chosen, you can finally embark to Taiwan, the heart of Asia! Once you arrive at Taiwan’s airport, we will meet you and take you to your new home.
